Henry Hobaica, Founder
He was there at the very beginning of it all, and he's still there today. That tells you a lot about Henry Hobaica. And while he may no longer actually build the pools the way he did back in the 1950's, he is still the corporate patriarch of Easton Pool & Spa, keeping an eye on things, making sure that all is 'steady as she goes.' With 50 years in the business, he still sells the occasional pool here and there, but he can now relax a little, and leave the day-to-day work to his sons Dave and Rob.
Having been a teacher and administrator for 25 years, Henry knows a thing or two about the importance of organization and order in any endeavor. And like a teacher at the blackboard with a lesson plan, his 'pools in progress' wall chart at company headquarters lets any member of the staff see at a glance exactly what's going on with all the pools under construction. It's a big reason why things run so smoothly at Easton Pool & Spa during the busy pool-building season.
Beyond being a teacher, Henry's also a former president of the Massachusetts Reading Association. He also maintains affiliations with local and national educational associations, and has had several articles published in well-respected teaching journals.
He's a serious golfer - even qualifying for a Senior PGA Pro-Am in Naples Florida, his winter home. He credits his robust health to spending the off-season there, getting plenty of exercise and enjoying lots of time outdoors in the warm Florida sun.
