Michael Santel, General Manager

Never has the term 'general manager' been more appropriate that in Mike Santel's case. His list of duties is a lengthy one, and he dispatches them all with the ease and composure that come from being the best at what you do.

Mike is involved in each and every phase of the pool-building process. He not only assists Dave with the scheduling of all new pool construction, he also keeps track of each service appointment, making sure that the right crew is dispatched for each service call. He also makes sure that your new pool is completed to your satisfaction. And should you ever need a new or replacement liner, Mike's your man. And who hired that great crew that just turned your backyard into your own resort? Mike again. It's his cool-headed management of our entire construction staff that keeps everything running on schedule and on budget. He's also CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certified, so you know you've got a consumate pool pro on your job. And while handling all of the above, he never loses sight of the fact that the true measure of his success is in paying attention to the details.

And when he's not doing seven things at once for us, Mike likes to kick back around his own pool with family and friends. He also gets into landscaping, and keeps his house and garden in showplace shape. And when pool season ends and the snow flies, you'll find Mike astride his trusty snowmobile, enjoying his off-season to the fullest.

"I started in the pool business in 1984 with a small company in Hanover, Massachusetts, and I learned a great deal there. I then came to Easton Pool & Spa in 1990, and began as a service technician, rising up the ranks to Service Manager not long after that, and eventually, in 2003, earning my current position of General Manager. Through all of those years with Easton Pool & Spa, I've gained a great deal of respect for the Hobaica family, and I value greatly the freedom and trust they place in me. Most of all, I enjoy working with our staff, and all the new customers each year. I feel fortunate that I sell a product that I truly believe in. And, at the end of the day, that gives me the greatest satisfaction."
