From that very first rectangular pool built by Henry Hobaica in 1958, to the custom designs being built by his sons David and Robert today, Easton Pool & Spa has always used the strongest, most durable material available for the structure of their pools: concrete. If you're familiar with pre-fabricated 'kit' pools, you know that they're usually made of steel or plastic, and it’s not long before Mother Nature takes her toll on them. But our 10” steel-reinforced concrete walls are solid and strong enough to withstand those punishing New England winters.

And our pools are backed up by our talented and dedicated staff who have worked hard to build and maintain a reputation of integrity. From your first meeting, to your first swim, your project manager will make sure that the entire construction process is a seamless one. We listen closely to your ideas and desires, and then set about to implement them, creating an outdoor living space that’s uniquely your own.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words and sometimes you need a video! If you have a little time please watch our construction process time lapse to see the swimming pool process from concept to completion.

Construction Process

Step 1

Size, shape and location of pool are finalized.

Step 2

With permit in hand and area cleared, excavation of pool begins.

Step 3

With excavation complete the PermaCrete forms are set in place with three rows of steel reinforcing rods.

Step 4

Concrete is poured over steel reinforcing rods forming a 10” thick wall. After curing 24 hours, forms are stripped and next phase begins.

Step 5

Pool stairs and bottom are poured, forming a thick concrete base. Upon curing, inside walls and pool bottom are sanded to a smooth finish.

Step 6

Pool shell in place, deck area is graded, compacted, formed and ready to be poured.

Step 7

Inside walls and stairs wrapped with resilient, non-corrosive padding; seals perfectly to exclusive cantilevered coping.

Step 8

Heavy-duty vacuum-applied surface installed. PermaClad surface is easy to clean, maintenance-free, and replaceable if your tastes change.

Step 9

With liner set in place the pool can be filled.

Step 10

Landscaping and gardening can now be completed. Your pool will be enjoyed for years to come!

"Did Steve and I mention at the end of the first summer with our "Easton Pool"...we love our pool? It is everything we dreamed it would be and more. Construction was completed on schedule, too. Your helpful and knowledgeable staff even got us through the first season with ease. And knowing that the answer to our questions was only a phone call away was very reassuring. Thanks!"
