Strength
Unlike
most pre-fabricated "kit" pools made of steel
or plastic, our 10" steel-reinforced concrete
walls and concrete bottom form a shell strong enough
to last for generations
and it does, just ask our customers. Each
skimmer is completely encased in a concrete pilaster to
protect it from cracking during most heaves. In addition,
the
PermaClad vinyl surface is flexible and accommodates
our tough New England winters as opposed to the rigid
characteristics of gunite and tile.
The
10" steel reinforced walls are self-supporting and
allow for backfilling without water in the pool because
they
will not bend or buckle like steel or plaster. Your choice
of decking can be installed during the pool construction
process (versus waiting a year or two) because the PermaCrete
system provides the necessary strength for proper compacting

Corrosion/Stain-resistance
Ease of maintenance is another benefit of the PermaClad
surface so you and your family can spend more time enjoying
your pool and less time maintaining it. The characteristics
of vinyl make this finish the most forgiving and stain
resistant to fluctuations in water chemistry. Alternative surfaces
like white plaster, are prone to scale and staining and require
diligent brushing and water testing.
Design
flexibility and comfort
The
PermaClad finish is also the most comfortable surface
on the market. Stairs, walls, and swimouts are wrapped in a non-corrosive foam padding before the PermaClad liner is installed to provide a soft, smooth surface for swimmers to enjoy for many years.
